
If you've ever wondered what it was like to be whale, you might find out soon. Science writer Jeff Warren will take Takoma Park residents into the mind of whale April 1 at 8 p.m. at the Takoma Park Community Center.
Drawing on new research from comparative neurobiology, behavioral ecology, acoustic tomography and the sensory dynamics of echolocation, Warren will present hints into the inner experience of whales.
Warren is currently completing a journalism fellowship at the University of Toronto and is a freelance radio producer for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s The Current and Ideas as well as the author of the 2007 book The Head Trip: Adventures on the Wheel of Consciousness.
