Takoma Park Police Department graduated its inaugural Citizens' Police Academy Jan. 31, according to a Gazette story.
Twenty resdients went through a 10-week long modified police training course, according to the Gazette story, that showed residents the day-to-day lives of Takoma Park Police officers.
Because of the program's success, a second course is scheduled to start in September, according to the story.
