TAKOMA PARK, MD — The Takoma Park Police Department is collecting warm coats to donate to people in need during their Winter Coat Drive beginning Monday, Nov. 6. Residents can drop off clean, gently used warm coats of any size at the donation box in the lobby of the Takoma Park Police Department from Nov. 6 to Dec. 15. Officers will also accept clean, gently used gloves, mittens and scarves. The winter clothes will be given to people in need, police said.
