Update: Missing 13-year-old Returns Home

Yvette Funmilayo Animashaun, 13, was last seen in the 7600 block of Maple Avenue.

Update Aug. 2, 10 a.m.: Yvette Funmilayo Animashaun has returned home and is in good health, Takoma Park Police said.

Update July 28, 11:15 a.m.: Takoma Park Police have not found 13-year-old Yvette Funmilayo Animashaun yet, but have released new photos to aid in the search. Police are seeking any information to help find the girl.

Update July 25, 11:30 a.m.: Takoma Park Police are still looking for a 13-year-old who disappeared July 22, police said. They are circulating a photo of Yvette Funmilayo Animashaun.

Anyone who has information about Animashaun's whereabouts is asked to contact Det. Gaskin of the Takoma Park Police Department at 301-270-1100 and refer to case #11035799.

Original Story: Takoma Park Police are investigating the disappearance of 13-year-old Yvette Funmilayo Animashaun.

Animashaun was last seen July 22 in the 7600 block of Maple Ave wearing a black head scarf, black shirt and shorts. She is a black female with black hair in an afro style. Animashuan is five-foot-seven and 120 pounds, police said. And she has a tattoo on her chest that says 7600.

She is a habitual runaway, police said.
