Takoma Park Police Suspend Fingerprinting Services
The FBI has disallowed hard-copy fingerprint cards.

Takoma Park Police will no longer be providing fingerprinting services starting Apr. 1 due to new Federal Bureau of Investigations requirements, police said.
The FBI implemented the Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification
System to process civil and criminal fingerprint submissions electronically, resulting in quicker processing and faster response times, police said. The FBI has advised all public safety agencies that they will no longer accept hard-copy fingerprint cards.
