Two Residents Robbed Walking from Takoma Metro

The victims were robbed in the 7300 block of Birch Avenue

Two people were robbed in the 7300 block of Birch Avenue as they were walking from the Takoma Metro station around 11:22 p.m. Wednesday night, Takoma Park Police said.

The suspects pointed guns at the victims and ordered them to lie on the ground, police said. The suspects took property from the victims and then fled on foot up Birch Avenue to Dogwood Avenue. They made a left on to Dogwood Avenue and then got into an unknown vehicle toward Holly Avenue. They then made a right turn on to Holly Avenue towards Philadelphia Avenue.

The victims did not sustain any physical injuries, police said.

The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect 1: Black male, 5-foot-10, 160-170 pounds, last seen wearing a white t-shirt and dark jeans, carrying a black gun.

Suspect 2: Black male, 5-foot-11, 170 pounds, last seen wearing a black and white striped shirt and dark jeans, carrying a black gun.
