
A woman was robbed Wednesday night while she was walking away from the Takoma Metro station, police said.
At around 10:49 p.m., Takoma Park Police responded to the 7200 block of Cedar Avenue for reports of an armed robbery. The victim was walking away from the metro station toward Takoma Park on Cedar Avenue when she saw a burgundy-colored Buick drive up to her.
A black male exited the passenger side of the vehicle, showed her a semi-automatic weapon and demanded property. The victim complied and the suspect fled in the Buick toward Philadelphia Avenue, police said. The victim did not sustain any serious physical injuries.

The victim described the assailant as a black male with a caramel complexion. He is around 6-foot-2, muscular with short black hair. He was last see wearing a black baseball cap, white t-shirt with gray and red writing on it, khaki cargo shorts and armed with a semi-automatic weapon.
