The Catonsville community can expect to see Baltimore County Police patrol units in and around Catonsville High School this morning as the investigation into yesterday’s shooting remains ongoing. In collaboration with the Baltimore County Public School system, additional resources will be available throughout the day to students and staff. In addition, members of the Baltimore County Police Department’s Mobile Crisis Team will also be available to provide support.

Detectives have spent the overnight hours focused on this investigation as efforts continue to identify and arrest the individual or individuals responsible for Tuesday’s shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call 410-307-2020 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
On Tuesday February 8, at approximately 3:00 p.m., forty-five minutes after school was dismissed for the day, a Baltimore County School Resource Officer reported a shooting in the back parking lot of Catonsville High School. The victim, a 16-year-old male student at Catonsville High School, was taken to an area trauma center with non-life threatening injuries.
