Car Crashes Into Lutherville Apartment
The surrounding buildings were evacuated after the silver sedan caught on fire.

Police are investigating the cause of an accident involving a man whose car jumped a parking lot curb and ran down a hill crashing into a vacant apartment unit in Lutherville, according to Baltimore County police spokeswoman Louise Rogers-Feher.
The man is a resident of the Charles Cardiff Apartments in the unit block of Nightingale Way, according to neighbors who also live in the building.
Two people were rushed to Maryland Shock Trauma Center via ambulance in serious condition. It is unclear who was taken to the hospital.

The surrounding apartment renters were evacuated shortly after 2 p.m. after the silver Nissan sedan caught fire with the driver reportedly still inside the vehicle, witnesses said.
Jane Gunderman, a Cardiff resident, said she was watching coverage of the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School when she heard what she thought was "a gun shot."

"Thank God [the apartment] was empty," Gunderman said. "I'm two floors up, but it's an old apartment complex. You don't know what's going to happen. All I heard was kaboom. I was like 'oh my God, what's going on now? Is that a gun shot?'"
The Baltimore County police crash team is investigating the cause of the accident.
