County Council to Discuss Traffic Calming in Mays Chapel

A pedestrian bridge connecting the neighborhood to an elementary school is also on the docket.

The Baltimore County Council will tonight discuss traffic calming measures, as well as the prospect for a raised pedestrian bridge for a Mays Chapel neighborhood, according to the county website.

Traffic calming measures were approved for Greenpoint Road in June. Public Works engineers additionally proposed a raised pedestrian crossing, which would connect the neighborhood to Pinewood Elementary School's back entrance.

Keith Link, a Baltimore County traffic engineer, could not be reached for comment. 

The speed limit throughout Greenpoint Road is 25 m.p.h. A concrete sidewalk already exists, connecting the neighborhood to Pinewood Elementary School.
