Disabilities Expo Returns to Fairgrounds

The ninth annual World of Possibilities event features vendors serving nearly all aspects of the disabilities community.

The event caters to all members of the disabilities community, which includes those living with challenges and the people who care for them, according to Mona Freedman, executive director of Caring Communities.

“Supports, resources, agencies, products, equipment, entertainment and networking experiences,” comprise the ninth annual event, according to Freedman.

“Everything in the disabilities world is really fragmented. Some agencies do this for someone at this age for this disability,” Freedman said. “No where could you go and get something that was coordinated and pulled all the pieces of the puzzle together.”

Organizers expect between 3,000 and 5,000 attendees this weekend. runs Friday until 4 p.m. and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Cost of admission is $3.
