GALLERY: Dulaney Boasts Most National Merit Scholars in County

Take a look at photos of the winners who represent less than the top 1 percent of high school seniors.

More students earned National Merit Scholarships than any other school in the county, it was announced last week.

Eight students Dulaney were selected as winners from the 1.5 million student National applicant pool. Twenty-two students from Baltimore County in total received the prestigious endowment.

National Merit Scholars representing less than 1 percent of the state's seniors who scored highest on PSAT/NMSQT test.

"Traditionally, Maryland is one of the more rigorous states. To make it into this group is a high honor," Charles Herndon, a public schools spokesman, said.
