High School Rankings: Where Did Dulaney Rank
Two more national rankings were released this week. Find out how Timonium's high school scored.

has once again placed high in national rankings—this time in two lists published in the last week by The Daily Beast and the Washington Post.
Timonium's high school placed within the top 1,000 best schools nationally in both lists. Dulaney was also named a top performing high school by U.S. News and World Report two weeks ago, .
The Washington Post ranked Dulaney the 396th best high school in the country, out of 1,900 surveyed schools.

The Post's rankings were calculated by the "number of college-level tests given at a school in 2011 divided by the number of graduates that year." The list also took into account were the "percentage of students who come from families that qualify for lunch subsidies (Subs. lunch) and the percentage of graduates who passed at least one college-level test during their high school career, called equity and excellence." The Post's list included private schools.
The Daily Beast ranked Dulaney the 621st best high school in the nation out of 1,000. In Maryland, Dulaney was considered the 13th best high school, which is consistent with US News and World Report's ranking.

"The list is based on six components provided by school administrators: graduation rate (25 percent), college matriculation rate (25 percent), AP/IB/AICE tests taken per student (25 percent), average SAT/ACT scores (10 percent), average AP/IB/AICE scores (10 percent), and AP courses offered per student(5 percent).
The Newsweek publication also offered free Facebook banners for students' schools who made the list.
