Lutherville-Timonium Crime: Man Arrested for Alleged Assault

Below are two major crime incidents reported in the Lutherville-Timonium area in the last week:

-Texas Station Court, unit block,  2:32 p.m., July 23.

A man was caught trying to shoplift roof de-icing cable and “freeze wall faucet pipes” from Lowe's, according to the incident report. Loss prevention personnel confronted the alleged suspect, Scott Eugene Dyer, 42, of Finksburg, MD. Dyer then reportedly took a swing at the Lowe's employee with a large 18-inch pipe, before running out of the store.

Baltimore County police pursued Dyer with helicopter and K9 support. Dyer was found in the woods. He was charged with first- and second-degree assault, as well as possession of paraphernalia. Dyer was also arrested in Carroll County on July 14, on theft charges, online court records show.

-Wendslow Place, unit block, between 7:30 p.m. on July 22 and 8 a.m. July 23. 

A Macbook Pro laptop computer, Dell computer, Kindle 3G, Maui Jim gold sunglasses and an iPod Touch were stolen out of two unlocked vehicles.
