BALTIMORE, MD – The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore is excited to announce that “OktoBEARfest presented by Chase” will be back this year for TWO days and with extended hours! OktoBEARfest will be held on Saturday, October 23rd and Sunday, October 24th from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The event will be held in Zoo’s Waterfowl Lake Pavilion area, with several beer stations located throughout the Zoo. The event will feature a host of seasonal ales, Oktoberfest inspired foods, and live music from Nelly’s Echo and Tickle Me Emo (Saturday) and Reverend Smackmaster & the Congregation of Funk and the Kilmaine Saints (Sunday).

There will be over 50 beers on tap, including, but not limited to, Angry Orchard, Bell’s, Blue Moon, BrewDog, Boulevard, Brewer’s Art, Charm City Meadworks, Clown Shoes, Dogfish Head, DuClaw, Flying Dog, Franziskaner, Fruit Smash Hard Seltzer (New Belgium), Harpoon, Hofbrau, Hop Valley, Jailbreak, Key, Leinenkugel’s, Malibu Splash Canned Cocktails (malt-based), Monument City, Moosehead, New Belgium, Peroni, Pilsner Urquell, Press Hard Seltzer, RavenBeer, Reckless, Sam Adams, Shiner, Spaten, Stiegl, Terrapin, Truly Hard Seltzer, Twisted Tea, UFO, Vizzy Hard Seltzer, Wyndridge Farms Cider/Winding Path Brewing, Yards, and Yuengling. OktoBEARfest tickets range from $30 for a non-drinking admission to $75 for a VIP Super Sipper ticket*. EARLY BIRD SPECIAL – Purchase regular sampling tickets by noon on August 23rd and save $20 off the gate price of $65. The earlier you buy, the more you save! Each drinking ticket (21 and over) includes unlimited sampling, a commemorative event glass, live music from local bands, admission to the Zoo, as well as access to food and artisan vendors.

* VIP Super Sipper tickets are $75 and include early entry at 12:30 pm, a 16 ounce commemorative glass for full-sized sampling as well as all other OktoBEARfest benefits – tickets are available in limited quantities. VIPs must be 21 or over. Zoo members save $5 off all tickets.
