Open Now: Smoothie King of Timonium

It was in December 2011 that Patch article about Smoothie King coming to Timonium. 

The sign on the door at the time called for a Spring 2012 opening. 

They were just a little behind schedule—about four months to be exact. 

The Smoothie King located at 1830 York Road in the Yorkridge South Shopping Center opened about two weeks ago. 

"Permits and inspections have changed greatly in Baltimore since I last did this," said David C. Olinde, who owns Smoothie King stores in and . 

Olinde said he was going to pay forward his newly-acquired experience opening a franchise under modern permitting guidelines. 

"I'll pass on my new knowledge to the owners of another store to be opened in Locust Point. Hopefully I'll be able to help them avoid the obstacles I went through," Olinde said. 

Oh, and by the way, they're hiring.
