Timonium Student Represents Notre Dame at United Nations Event

Chandler Ramey was part of a delegation from the School Sisters of Notre Dame to attend the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.

Chandler Ramey of Timonium was in New York recently to help address preventing voilence against women and girls.

As a delegate from the School Sisters of Notre Dame, she attended the United Nations Commisison on the Status of Women, a two-week event that ended March 15, according to a news release from ReadMedia.

The commission addresses the "elimination and prevention of all forms of violence against women and girls," it states. It's a mission that's key to the School Sisters.

Ramey is a student at The Notre Dame of Maryland University.

Also among the delegation were Sister Eileen Reilly, Sister Arlene Flaherty, Julie Gilberto-Brady, and Denise Hyland, a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the release states.
