The conservative political group is protesting President Barack Obama's economic and energy policies.

Customers at the Towson Hess gas station could feel a little less pain at the pump on Thursday.
The Maryland branch of Americans for Prosperity, a conservative political group that blames President Barack Obama for rising gas costs, will pay the difference so that the first 150 customers arriving between 4 and 6 p.m. are only charged $1.84 per gallon, according to a news release.
"When President Obama took office in January 2009, gas cost just $1.84 per gallon," State Director Dave Schwartz said in the release. "Because of the president’s failing economic and energy policies, we’ve seen gas prices go to nearly $4 per gallon."
