The Arc Baltimore Celebrates 75 Years with “Carats & Cocktails”

Evening Honors Organization's Legacy and Future

It has been 75 years since eight parents met to establish what became The Arc Baltimore, and this October 18, the organization they founded will recognize that diamond anniversary with “Carats & Cocktails” – an unforgettable evening honoring The Arc’s pioneering legacy and celebrating the promise of its future.

To be held on Saturday, October 18 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Maryland Science Center, “Carats & Cocktails” presented by Mutual of America Financial Group will feature: a culinary spread by Rouge Catering; signature spirits by Old Line Spirits; a live musical performance by Nelly’s Echo (from NBC’s “The Voice”); a DJ set of funk and soul by Landis Expandis; an auction with top Art in the Round artwork and much more; diamond and champagne giveaways; and full access to the Maryland Science Center exhibits.

“Since 1949, The Arc Baltimore has been supporting people with developmental disabilities to lead fulfilling lives with a sense of belonging, purpose, and meaningful relationships,” says Kathleen McNally Durkin, The Arc’s Chief Executive Officer. “We invite the Baltimore community to celebrate the strides made over 75 years and the promise of an even brighter future.”
