Baltimore County Coronavirus: More Than 1,300 Cases Confirmed
Numbers released Monday show that Baltimore County has the third most cases of all counties in Maryland.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Baltimore County reported more than 1,300 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus on Monday morning. According to numbers released by the Maryland Department of Health, Baltimore County has the third most cases in the state.
Of the county's 1,361 cases, there have been 31 deaths because of COVID-19.
The health department also reported that Maryland almost hit the 9,000-case mark. The state overall has seen 262 deaths out of 8,936 cases and has begun releasing case number by zip code for areas with more than 7 cases

In the past 24 hours, 711 more cases and 27 deaths were recorded statewide as many celebrated the Easter and Passover holidays over the weekend.
On Facebook, the Baltimore County Department of Health and Human Services asked residents to stay home to slow down the spread of COVID-19.

"This year, what are typically times of joy have the potential to cause unintentional spread of the coronavirus," the department said in its statement. "Use FaceTime, Skype, and other video platforms to share the holidays with loved ones outside of your home."
