A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. If a drop of rain or snowflake came with a price tag, Baltimore County residents can now track it online. Baltimore County is now posting <a href="http://www.baltimorecountymd.gov/Agencies/publicworks/highways/stormrelatedcosts.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">costs of storm clean-up</a> on its website. "The public is often interested in how much it costs County government's Department of Public Works each time there is a significant storm," said County Executive <a href="https://towson.patch.com/search?keywords=Kevin+Kamenetz" rel="nofollow">Kevin Kamenetz</a>, in an emailed statement.  "Posting this information online is just one more way to make government transparent.  More and more people are using the County's website to access key information, and this data will be updated after each significant storm event." Wintery weather, including some snow, could affect the Baltimore County area but forecasters are only predicting an inch or two at most.
