Barricade Sparked By Family Dispute, Shots Fired In Rosedale: Reports

A barricade ensued after a family dispute in Rosedale, reports said. Shots were fired, but nobody was hurt.

ROSEDALE, MD — A roughly three-hour barricade after Rosedale gunfire ended with no injuries Wednesday, police said.

Officers said they were called to the 1200 block of 62nd Street around 3:46 p.m. for reports of shots fired.

Authorities said they assessed the situation upon arrival and declared it a barricade.

By 5:46 p.m., police said the suspect was the only person inside the location.

Officers announced at 7:09 p.m. that the barricade ended without further incident. The Baltimore County Police Tactical and Hostage Negotiation Team helped resolve the situation.

WJZ reported that the situation started with a family dispute where the suspect grabbed a weapon and threatened them.

The caller reported that the suspect fired the gun inside the home, WJZ said.
