Bonchon In Towson Celebrates 1-Year-Anniversary With Giveaway

TOWSON, MD – To celebrate its one-year anniversary since opening in Towson, Bonchon is giving away a gift to customers who dine in or carry out food from the location on Goucher Boulevard. The free swag will be available throughout April, according to a statement from Bonchon.

Towson Patch visited on Wednesday, April 13, and did not receive a free gift.

This past Monday, the restaurant gave a free rice bowl to the first 100 guests as part of its anniversary celebration.

"The Towson community has more than proven they love Bonchon — the last year of support they have given us has been absolutely amazing," Bonchon CEO Flynn Dekker said in a statement.

Bonchon, which is Korean for "my hometown," was founded in South Korea in 2002 and branched into the United States in 2006. Towson is the first Bonchon restaurant in Baltimore County. The nearest Bonchon eateries are in Ellicott City and Arundel Mills.

Bonchon launched its first revamped restaurant design in 2021 in Addison, Texas. The focus was on "fast-casual" dining, according to a statement from the company.

The Towson location — which held a grand opening April 10, 2021 — was the second fast-casual location for the company and the first on the East Coast.

"We are looking forward to many more years of serving more individuals our globally-loved, double-fried chicken!” Dekker said in a statement.

Bochon Towson is at 813 Goucher Boulevard.
