Franchot to Support Overturning Congressional Redistricting?
Comptroller's Facebook post hints at statements opposing the governor's congressional redistricting that are expected on radio later today.

Comptroller Peter Franchot is expected to have a comment or two on the referendum on Maryland's Congressional redistricting maps during a radio appearance later today.
Franchot has never publicly spoken about the redistricting plan approved earlier this year but in a post on Facebook the comptroller hinted that he would "have much more to say on this subject this afternoon" during an appearance on WBAL 1090 AM and during a speech at the Institute of Internal Auditors' District Conference.
Franchot is trying to build himself a reputation as a political outsider.

During a speech last month at Goucher College, Franchot called for real-time campaign finance reporting.
Sources said Tuesday that Franchot is expected to use his radio appearance and speech to come out against the maps as they were drawn by Gov. Martin O'Malley and approved by the General Assembly.
