Brown Convicted Of Murder For Towson Town Center Shooting

A Baltimore County Circuit Court jury returned a guilty verdict against a Baltimore man who stood accused of a shooting death at Towson Town Center in Dec. 2011.

Tyrone Brown, 21, was convicted of first-degree murder in the shooting death of 19-year-old Rodney Pridget outside a Nordstrom Department store in Towson, according to a news release from the office of States' Attorney for Baltimore County Scott Shellenberger.

"Pridget was followed through the mall and shot six times just after he walked outside the building. The killing was carried out by Brown and was ordered by the Black Guerilla Family gang," the release states.

Brown faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole. His sentencing is scheduled for May 7 before Judge Robert E. Cahill Jr, according to the release.

Each of those men was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

A fourth accomplice, Jermell Brandon, accepted a federal plea deal and in exchange for his testimony against the other men received 20 years in federal prison for conspiracy.
