Business Brings Good Vibrations to Towson

Benevolent Resonance uses a "vibroacoustic table" to relax patients.

A new business in Towson is set to help residents through good vibrations, literally.

Benevolent Resonance, 31 Allegheny Ave., uses a vibroacoustic table that "emits gentle pulses of low-frequency sound waves" to help patients relax, according to a news release.

"A vibroacoustic session is a holistic offering that can result in enhanced cognitive function, and is accompanied simultaneously by feelings of serenity and exhilaration," owner Teri Carter said in the release. "As humans, we are 70 percent water, and on a microscopic level, the sound waves vibrate tiny pockets of water that are found in every cell in the body. I find it meditative and extremely relaxing."
