The Towerlight said the official opening date was Jan. 3, but Caliente cut the ribbon on Jan. 31 at 409 York Road. The Towson Chamber of Commerce shared a video of the ribbon cutting here.
"If you haven't already you need to try their amazing food with recipes all the way from Peru," the chamber said on Facebook.
Caliente means "hot" in Spanish. The Towerlight said the restaurant has a neon sign in front of a grass-like wall that reads "Some like it hot, I like it Caliente."
Caliente is open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
