Stolen Car Prompts Drug Bust, 2 Arrests: Police

A car stolen from Montgomery County was found in Anne Arundel County, police said. Officers arrested men from Baltimore City and County.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — Anne Arundel County Police said they found a stolen car, leading to a drug bust and the arrest of men from Baltimore County and Baltimore City.

Officers said they conducted a traffic stop of a silver 2021 Acura in the 8000 block of Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie last Tuesday around 5:50 p.m.

Authorities said the Acura was reported stolen in Montgomery County.

Police said the investigation resulted in the seizure of about:

  • 6 grams of suspected ecstasy.
  • 15 grams of suspected crack cocaine.
  • 0.7 grams of suspected Xanax.
  • 0.5 grams of suspected oxycodone.
  • 27 grams of suspected cannabis.
  • 2.5 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl.

Officers said the driver and passenger had outstanding arrest warrants and were taken into custody and charged.

Authorities identified the suspects as driver Kevin Sherrod Grant Jr., 33, of Randallstown, and passenger Travis Colby Gunthrop, 31, of Baltimore.
