Disabled Man on Electric Scooter Struck By Vehicle at Towson University

The incident occurred on Cross Campus Drive.

A disabled man on an electric scooter was hit by a car driven by a student on Cross Campus Drive at Towson University Tuesday night, Baltimore County Police said.

Campus newspaper The Towerlight broke the news of the incident.

The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. as the man was going through a crosswalk near the college's Glen Tower A, police said. The car was traveling west-bound on Cross Campus Drive.

A dispatch officer did not know the man's condition, but a Towerlight journalist, who spoke to a passenger in the vehicle, reports that he was transported by ambulance.
