2 Dead In Murder-Suicide Identified In Baltimore County

Two people died in a murder-suicide in Baltimore County, police said. Officers identified the men, who were both in their 30s.

DUNDALK, MD — Police on Tuesday identified the men who died in a Monday murder-suicide in Dundalk.

Officers said the victim was James Skarda IV, 35, and the suspect was Ricky Stem, 37.

Stem took his own life, authorities said.

Police have not mentioned a motive.

Officers said they were called Monday around 4:20 p.m. to the 8200 block of Bullneck Road for reports of a shooting.

Authorities said they found Skarda with apparent gunshot wounds to the upper body.

Skarda was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

Officers said they found Stem a few blocks away near Dundalk Avenue and Liberty Parkway with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot.

Authorities said medics took Stem to a hospital, where he died soon after.
