From Athletes Serving Athletes:
Challenged athletes, able-bodied runners, friends and families are invited to register for the fifth annual Hope’s Heroes 5 K Race to be held at 10 am on June 9 at Goucher College. Challenged race participants represent several area schools and organizations that serve the disabled community. Interested participants can register at www.hopesheroes.com. Race day registration opens at 8 am.
Students and staff from The William S. Baer School, Cedar Lane School, Delrey School, Ridge Ruxton School, The Maryland School for the Blind and Kennedy Krieger School are registered to attend. Participants from Young Life Capernaum and The Trellis School will also attend. The registration fee for the 5 K is $30 and includes a T-shirt. Fun Run registration is $20.

The Hope’s Heroes 5K race brings together resources and volunteers from non-profit organizations and local schools with a vision to reach out and encourage disabled teens and adults towards health and fitness. Proceeds are used to further training, outreach and competitive races for the disabled community.
