TACOP Night at Qdoba

Qdoba will give 15% of its revenue between 5 and 8 p.m. to Towson Area Citizens on Patrol. At 6 and 7 p.m., the restaurant will host a four-person burrito relay.

From TACOP:

Towson Area Citizens on Patrol is asking the  public to come to Qdoba Mexican Grill at 1255 East Joppa Road in Towson on Monday evening, April 30 to take a bite out of crime. Qdoba is joining forces with TACOP to raise money for the all-volunteer organization that serves as extra eyes and ears for Baltimore County police.

The restaurant, which specializes in high-quality, fresh Mexican food, will donate 15 percent of profits to TACOP from food and sodas ordered by TACOP supporters between 5 to 8 p.m. The evening will offer fun as well as food, when burrito eating relay contests are held at 6 and 7 p.m.  Teams from Loch Raven High School and
Towson University will compete with TACOP teams to see who can wolf down a burrito in record time.
"We have issued the challenge," said event coordinator Janice Arcieri.

Diners can sit back and enjoy the food and drinks  they have purchased or they can team up to join the competition instead of just watching it. TACOP will use the proceeds for equipment, lights, signs, T-shirts  and
other expenditures connected with patrolling 24 Towson areas to make them safer and for start-up costs for additional patrols. "We value the support of Towson area residents," said Arcieri. "We've never done a fundraiser liked this before but because of tough economic times we've lost a thousand dollar grant from the county and
some of our sponsors have had to reduce their support." "People will get their money's worth. They'll buy a good meal and a safer community and show that crime is not welcome in Towson."
