Fundraiser Scheduled for Towson Teacher Injured in Boston Marathon Blasts

The event will be held Saturday at Mother's Federal Hill Grille.

Friends and family members of Erika Brannock, who was severly injured following the Boston Marathon bombings in mid-April, are hosting a fundraiser for the Towson preschool teacher Saturday.

Brannock, a 29-year-old Cockeysville resident and educator at Trinity Episcopal Children's Center, suffered extensive damage to her feet and lower left leg, which was later amputated, according to a news release. She had visited Boston to watch her mother compete in the race.

The fundraiser will run from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Mother's Federal Hill Grille in Baltimore, the release states. Tickets are $40 a person at the door and will cover food and drink, as well as offer raffle prizes.
