HonduROCK Proceeds Benefiting Orphans

The concert featuring Jimmie's Chick Shack will be one of the last at Recher Theatre in Towson.

HonduROCK, a concert organized by Towson University branch of Students Helping Honduras, will raise funds to benefit orphan girls.

The money will fund the girls' move from lacking state-run orphanages to the Villa Soleada community, created by Students Helping Honduras, according to the group's Facebook Page.

"Over the past three years [Students Helping Honduras] has raised $150,000 for these projects collectively," wrote Elliot Glotfelty, an organizer, in an email. "This year we have set a goal to raise $40,000 for the construction of a girls' home, replicating the success of the boys' home we built two years earlier."
