Human Remains Possibly Found In Baltimore County Landfill: Police

COCKEYSVILLE, MD — "Possible human remains" may have been found Monday at a Cockeysville landfill, police said.

Officers said they were called to the Baltimore County Refuse/Recycling Center off Beaver Dam Road around 9 a.m.

Homicide detectives are investigating and will share more information as available.

The landfill, dubbed the Cockeysville Central Acceptance Facility, receives trash and recycling from multiple jurisdictions.

The landfill, located at 201 West Warren Road, was closed Monday. It's usually open Mondays. The landfill is scheduled to reopen Tuesday.
