Pedestrian Killed In I-83 Crash With Tractor-Trailer: Police
A man was killed on Interstate 83 Wednesday morning, according to Maryland State Police.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — One person died in a crash on Interstate 83 south on Wednesday morning, according to police. It closed the interstate for more than four hours.
Around 4:50 a.m., troopers said they were called to I-83 south of Shawan Road, where a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle.
A man was hit by a tractor-trailer when he ran out into the road, officials said.

Kingdavid Okolo, 17, of Cockeysville, was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said. He "ran out onto the road" for a reason that remains unknown, according to investigators.
The driver of the tractor-trailer stayed at the scene, and the Maryland State Police Crash Team is investigating the collision, officials said.

Traffic was detoured from I-83 onto Shawan Road after the fatal crash.
Around 8 a.m., the Baltimore County Police Department said the crash on I-83 had resulted in backups elsewhere in the county.
"With the crash on I-83, parts of York Road are congested," police reported. "Give yourself some extra time and pack some patience."
By 9:30 a.m., the Maryland State Highway Administration said all lanes on I-83 had reopened.
