A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. UPDATED (12:16 p.m.)—Police continue to investigate the Monday morning accident that injured three people including a Patch local editor. <a href="https://towson.patch.com/search?keywords=Tyler+Waldman" rel="nofollow">Tyler Waldman</a>, 24, remains in critical condition at <a href="https://towson.patch.com/search?keywords=Shock+Trauma" rel="nofollow">Shock Trauma</a>, according to Cindy Rivers, a hospital spokeswoman. Details surrounding the accident remain unclear. Early investigation shows that a Honda Civic was traveling on Goucher Boulevard through the intersection of E. Joppa Road, Baltimore County police said in a statement. A Ford Mustang, traveling eastbound on East Joppa Road, struck the Civic, according to a police statement Monday. The identity of the woman driving the Mustang and her passenger have not been released. Both were taken to Sinai Hospital Monday. The driver suffered minor injuries and treated and released from the hospital. Information on the passenger was not immediately available, according to Julia Hargrove, a police department spokeswoman. The cause of the crash has not been determined and no charges have been filed as the investigation continues, Hargrove said.
