Sub Shop Opens New Baltimore County Location, Fundraises For School

TOWSON, MD — Jersey Mike's Subs opened its first Towson location on Wednesday.

Known for its freshly baked bread, the sub shop is located in a strip mall outside Towson Place.

Franchise Owner Paul Weitz and Robert Weitz are holding a grand opening and fundraiser from Wednesday to Sunday to support Calvert Hall College High School. Customers who received a fundraising coupon distributed through grassroots efforts can make a minimum $3 donation to the school in exchange for a regular sub. Customers must have the coupon to be eligible.

"Having lived in Towson, and raising our family here, we couldn't be more excited to finally open a store in this wonderful community," Paul Weitz said in a Thursday press release. "We look forward to seeing everyone over time."

Jersey Mike's has raised over $135 million for charities since 2010. This March, the company's 14th Annual Jersey Mike's Month of Giving raised $25 million for over 200 charities.

This is the 60th Jersey Mike's location in Maryland. The chain has more than 4,000 locations open and in development.

The company uses the same bread recipe that it started with in 1956. It's also known for its freshly sliced and grilled meats.

The Towson restaurant, located at 1254 Putty Hill Ave., is open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The eatery's phone number is (443) 927-2650.

Along with traditional in-person orders, customers can place orders for pickup through the Jersey Mike's website or app. Delivery is also available in most areas through the Jersey Mike's app or through third-party delivery partners. Curbside pickup is available for orders placed in the app.
