A judge dismissed a lawsuit Monday against by a former cardiologist.
According to online court records, Judge Mickey Norman dismissed Dr. Mark Midei's case Monday, with no opinion immediately available. The dismissal was first reported by The Baltimore Sun.
Midei in 2010. Midei was placed on leave in 2009 after allegations arose that he implanted stents in hundreds of patients who may not have needed them. The hospital sent letters to nearly 600 patients and several hundred have since sued Midei and the hospital.

Midei's lawsuit alleged that he was a "sacrificial lamb" as the hospital faced allegations of Medicare fraud.
