A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. Reason Jones hasn't always had the easiest go of things. But earlier this month, he got the VIP treatment at in Towson. The 12-year-old Baltimore boy has a rare cancer called chondrosarcoma. For <a href="http://www.facebook.com/events/300371023327633/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">National Believe Day </a>on Dec. 9, Macy's and the Make-a-Wish Foundation brought him to Towson by limousine where he was named Manager of the Day and hand-delivered his wish to Santa. From there, Reason and his mother embarked on a holiday shopping spree. Macy's pledged $1 million this year to fulfill local wishes like Reason's. Thanks to Write Ideas for sending us the pictures.
