Student Struck, Killed in Towson Hit-and-Run

The incident happened just before 2 a.m. Saturday.

A student was killed early Saturday in a hit-and-run incident in downtown Towson, according to police.

At about 1:45 a.m., Ryan Bailey, 20, was struck near the intersection of York Road and Washington Avenue. Bailey, of Seaford, NY, was a Towson junior.

According to police, Bailey was on York Road when an older model silver or white car was traveling north in the same lane. The car hit Bailey and pushed him toward a grass embankment and tree root, before he landed on the sidewalk. Paramedics found Bailey in cardiac arrest, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Baltimore County's crash team is investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call Baltimore County police at 410-307-2020

According to his Facebook page, Bailey graduated from Seaford Senior High School in Seaford, NY in 2009. Friends are posting rememberances on the Facebook page.
