A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. This memorial appeared recently in downtown Towson, as police said there are no updates in the death of a student there. Friends left flowers, notes and a fraternity flag at York Road and Washington Avenue, where 20-year-old Ryan Bailey, a business student from Seaford, NY, was in a hit-and-run early on March 31. Baltimore County police spokeswoman Detective Cathleen Batton said there was nothing yet available to report on the investigation into Bailey's death. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 410-307-2020. Later that day, police found fellow Towson student , 27, dead in his off-campus apartment. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner referred questions to Batton, who said police not yet recieved Coyer's autopsy report. Last week, hundreds of Towson students, faculty and staff for Bailey and Coyer.
