The 24-hour store opened nearly one month ago.

Walgreens and Towson-area officials marked the opening of the new store at York Road and Fairmount Avenue on Friday morning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The store, which has been open for three weeks, employs 25 people.

Walgreens and DMS Development, which built the store, in the Towson Park community, to limit the store's impact on neighbors.

The store's exterior even includes Towson's logo—the same stylized "T" as on the bridges over the Baltimore Beltway—and an upgraded Towson Park sign.

"It fits into what a walkable Towson can be," said Wendy Crites, executive director for Towson-based DMS. "So far, everybody's really pleased with how it's turned out."
