Police Activity In Towson: Roads Reopen, Investigation Continues

A major intersection in Towson was closed during the morning rush hour, police said.

TOWSON, MD — A major intersection in Towson was closed Thursday morning, according to the Baltimore County Police Department. It reopened after the morning rush following an hours-long closure.

Northbound Loch Raven Boulevard was closed at East Joppa Road due to police activity, officials reported at 5:30 a.m. Police encouraged drivers to use Cromwell Bridge Road to access eastbound Interstate 695.

The I-695 ramp at Loch Raven Boulevard was also closed on the inner loop, the Maryland State Highway Administration reported. It reopened before 8:30 a.m.

After 9 a.m., police said roads had reopened in the area and that officials would give more information once they had finished their investigation.
