A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. UPDATED (10:11 p.m.)—Baltimore County police are investigating the Sunday night shooting of a man in the Towson area. A resident of the 7000 block of Lachlan Circle called police shortly before 7 p.m. to report that a man suffering from a gunshot wound was outside the caller's home. Police and fire crews found the man, who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to a statement issued by Cpl. Cathy Batton, a police spokeswoman. The unidentified man was taken to the hospital for what was described as life-threatening injuries, according to Batton. Additional details about the shooting and identity of the victim are not immediately available. The shooting was first reported on the <a href="https://twitter.com/BACOPoliceFire/status/272870819355586560" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">police department's Twitter account</a>.
