Police Seek Leads in Anneslie Cold Case

A 23-year-old woman was shot at Drumcastle Center in 1996.

Baltimore County police are still seeking leads in a 15-year-old murder case in Anneslie.

Here is the release, sent Wednesday afternoon from the police department:

On March 2, 1996, 23-year-old Jody LeCornu was shot in the back from the rear of her car while in the Drumcastle Shopping Center on York Road in Precinct 6/Towson. She drove across York Road to the York Road Plaza, now the Giant York Road Plaza, where she died.

A black male driving a white BMW followed LeCornu into the York Road Plaza, took unknown items from her car, returned to his vehicle and left the scene.

Anyone with information is asked to call Baltimore County Police at 410-307-2020 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7-LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587). According to a 1996 Baltimore Sun story, police suspected robbery as a motive at the time. LeCornu, then an Anneslie resident and student, worked at on Cold Spring Lane.
