Readers' Choice: Gourmet Express Wins

I promise I'll go easy on the sandwich puns this time.

More than 200 of you voted and helped us declare the winner in our hunt for the . It's fair to say they're the toast of the town. (Come on, I had to get one in.)

The downtown Towson eatery carries a long list of sandwiches and wraps, and is known for naming specials after current events and regular customers, including one County Council aide, .

When he found out his shop was nominated, owner Tim Blair told his customers to vote in his daily email of sandwich specials. But he didn't think he would win against local institutions like Towson Hot Bagels and Atwater's.

"On Monday, when I looked at it, we were in like fourth place, so I just kept checking," he said. "I'm kind of tickled to get a little recognition like that."
