A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. State highway contractors will temporarily close the right lane of northbound North Charles Street, between the Joppa Road overpass and Kenilworth Drive starting April 2, state highway officials stated in a press release Monday. The closure will continue for about eight weeks through early June, as crews widen the northbound approach to the intersection. The work is part of the $38 million multi-year reconstruction work on the Charles Street bridge over the Baltimore Beltway. The closure is set to begin at 9 a.m. next Monday. If you're headed to the Beltway from Towson, consider using York Road as a possible detour, especially during rush hour. Contact the State Highway Administration at 410-296-9041 or SHA's District Four Office Construction Division at 410-229-2420 with any questions.
