Social Security Rents More Towson Office Space
The agency moved offices to Towson's Penthouse earlier this year.
The Social Security Administration recently signed a lease for a second block of office space in downtown Towson.
The agency has leased 21,344 square feet of space in Dulaney Center I, an office building at 849 Fairmount Avenue, General Services Administration spokeswoman Gina Gilliam said.
In November, Social Security finalized a lease for 11,365 square feet of office space in Towson's Penthouse building on Allegheny Avenue, relocating its Towson offices there from West Road.

According to the GSA, the $3,127,170 contract for Dulaney Center was awarded to Dulaney Center Business Trust on Feb. 29.
A Social Security spokesperson was not immediately available for comment.

The move will nearly triple the amount of space the agency uses in Towson.
"I'll take whatever we can get," said Nancy Hafford, executive director of the Towson Chamber of Commerce. "I am very thankful for everybody that comes close to this area."
