A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. Baltimore County police are investigating an early Saturday morning incident that left three people injured at a popular bar in Towson. Cpl. John Wachter, a spokesman for the Baltimore County Police Department, said police responded around 1:09 a.m. to Charles Village Pub, in the unit block of West Pennsylvania Avenue, where they found one man stabbed and another suffering from cuts to his hands. A woman was injured when she fell, Wachter said. None of the injuries were life-threatening and all were taken to area hospitals, Wachter said. The injuries were sustained during a fight inside the pub, Wachter said. Police had no suspect as of 7 a.m. Saturday. Stay with Patch for updates.
